My current book, Losing Your Only is written to the Parents or Loved Ones that have lost an only child. This book is written from my own personal experience. When my only child was killed in a car accident, my life took a different path. I was living in Shanghai China. He was going to college in USA. In my grief, I discovered that my purpose is to motivate, and support parents and all clients live to their life potential. Losing a child is horrific, losing an only child brings it up a notch. So what do we do with that kind of experience? We have decisions to make. We can live or we can die with the child. I decided not only to live, but to thrive.

Dr. Debi Yohn is an international psychologist, author and speaker with 32 years experience living and working on 3 continents. Her work has taken her to Saudi Arabia for 7 years and Shanghai, China for 8 years. While in Shanghai, she founded “Lifeline Shanghai” a “911” service to help English speakers in need. Please let me know when your book will be available in print. Currently I have a Nook and unable to download the electronic version. It sounds like a really great book. One that I am desperately in need of since I have lost my only daughter one year ago and I am still attempting to deal with my grief.
The hard back book is currently in print through Amazon or directly from me. This book is an easy read because I found when I was in deep grief, I did not have much energy or a very long attention span. This is also a great gift book for anyone that has lost someone. There is a “In Memory Of” page where you can write a personal note.

Hi Dana. Everyone’s grief is so personal, I cannot say, I know how you feel. I just know it does not feel good. I want you to know that you will slowly move through the grief process and it will get better but it does take time. You cannot rush it but you just keep moving through it.

I lost my only child on Dec 23, 2011 when his home burned, he was asleep inside. His body did not burn, there were snow angels laying around him and one page from the song book on the piano was left and all we could read “Jesus took away my sin, He took away my sin”. I know he is safe happy and free in heaven, but I miss him so much.
Some days the pain is unbearable and I just want to run away from it. God blessed me with 3 wonderful grandchildren and I see him in them everyday but I still miss him. I will be sending you the money for the book.
Your son was “Home” for Christmas. I know it hurts so much but you have to be happy for him. He is in a wonderful place and now he is watching you and his family spiritually. My heart grieves for you because parents should not lose their child. That is the wrong order of events! I send you love. These are difficult days. Time helps but you will always miss him.
